HALLOWEEN
Project Overview : This project showcases the design process behind the packaging for Bestron’s Halloween-themed waffle maker. The goal was to create an eye-catching and festive design that captures the spirit of Halloween while clearly communicating the product’s key features and playful appeal.
To make the design more fun and engaging, each product was imagined as a character, allowing us to build a playful story around its unique personality.
To extend the Halloween storytelling even further, I created “plate protection” cards thin illustrated liners that slide between the hot plates when the waffle maker is closed. Each one features a character (a mischievous ghost, grinning pumpkin, or brooding skull) with a mini story on the back. They protect the non-stick surface during storage and add a fun surprise every time you lift the lid.
The illustrations are unique to each character variant, with little hidden stories woven into the details discoverable when you take a closer look at the packaging.
